1. Who We Are

SelfSignal is an online self-discovery platform that provides educational tests, personalized reports, and related digital services. In this Privacy Policy, “SelfSignal,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the SelfSignal website and services. “You” and “your” refer to the person accessing or using the services.

2. Personal Information We Collect

We collect information you provide and information needed to deliver the service. This may include your email address, test answers, generated report, support and billing requests, payment and subscription status, Stripe customer or transaction identifiers, security events, and limited technical request data. Essential error monitoring may record the page path, script filename, line and column number, error category, and time. Its alert messages exclude customer email addresses, report content, test answers, access tokens, request bodies, IP addresses, query strings, and raw error messages. Stripe processes payment-card details; SelfSignal does not store full card numbers. If you accept analytics, Meta Pixel may receive information about pages visited, browser or device details, referral information, IP address, and advertising identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information to operate the website, process test answers, generate personalized reports, provide access to purchased content, save or restore results, send result links or account access emails, respond to support requests, verify account or purchase information, process cancellation requests, manage subscription or billing issues, confirm purchases, prevent fraud, improve website performance, fix bugs, improve report quality, develop new features, protect security, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to operate SelfSignal, including Hostinger for hosting, Stripe for payment and subscription processing, Resend for transactional and operational-alert email, and Meta for consented analytics and advertising measurement. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to prevent fraud or abuse, protect users or our rights, enforce our Terms, or complete a business transfer.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Essential storage keeps your consent choice and sound preference, and a secure HTTP-only cookie remembers a verified access session. These are used for functionality and security. Meta Pixel is non-essential and does not load unless you select “Accept analytics.” You can reject it by choosing “Essential only” and can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” button.

6. Analytics

When you consent, Meta Pixel helps us understand visits and measure advertising performance. Withdrawing consent stops future Pixel loading on that browser; it does not automatically delete information already processed by Meta. Contact us for assistance with a privacy request and review Meta's privacy information for choices available directly from Meta.

7. Data Retention

Saved test answers and reports are scheduled to remain available for up to 18 months unless you request deletion sooner or we need a shorter or longer period for security, disputes, or legal obligations. Verification links expire after 30 minutes and verified browser sessions after 30 days. Payment, subscription, support, and security records may be retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and applicable law. When records are no longer needed, we delete or de-identify them where reasonably practicable.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your own device, email account, and login credentials secure. If you believe your account or information has been accessed without authorization, contact us at info@self-signal.com.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or request a copy of your information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and opt out of certain tracking or marketing. To exercise privacy rights, contact info@self-signal.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

10. Email Communications

We may send emails related to test results, account access, purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, support requests, and important service updates. If we send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us. You may still receive transactional or service-related emails even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails.

11. Children's Privacy

SelfSignal is not intended for individuals under eighteen 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 without proper consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

12. International Users

SelfSignal may be accessed from different countries. Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we take appropriate steps to protect personal information in accordance with applicable law.

13. Third-Party Links

SelfSignal may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party websites. You should review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SelfSignal after changes are posted means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.

15. Contact Information

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your personal information is handled, contact us at info@self-signal.com.
