What SelfSignal is
SelfSignal is an educational self-reflection tool. Our tests are designed to help you notice patterns — how you connect, how you handle pressure, how you set (or skip) boundaries, what quietly drives you. A good result should feel like a well-placed mirror: something you half-knew, said clearly enough to work with.
What your results mean
Your results describe patterns in your answers — not conditions, disorders, or diagnoses. If a test says you lean toward a certain pattern, it means your answers leaned that way on the day you took it. Patterns are learned and situational; they can look different next month, in a different relationship, or under different pressure. Treat your result as a starting point for reflection, not a label to carry around.
When to seek professional support
Self-reflection has limits, and it is worth knowing where they are. A licensed professional — a therapist, counsellor, or doctor — is the right next step if:
- Distress is persistent — a low mood, anxiety, or hopelessness that sticks around for weeks rather than passing.
- Daily life is affected — sleep, work, eating, or relationships are noticeably harder than they used to be.
- You have any concerns about your safety or someone else's.
Reaching out is not an overreaction, and it does not mean something is "wrong with you." It means the question you are carrying deserves more than a quiz can offer.
If you are in the US, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). In the UK, Samaritans are available at 116 123.
Our request
Use SelfSignal for what it is good at: language for patterns, prompts for reflection, and small experiments to try. For clinical questions — about diagnosis, medication, trauma, or treatment — please bring them to a licensed professional. They can offer what no test can: a conversation with someone trained to help, who can actually hear your answer.
